Sirius strolled casually into Zonko's he wasn't looking for anything specific, although he probably need some more fireworks after their opening prank at the feast. They had used up most of his supply.
Prongs had run off to tail Evans for a bit after lunch and would be meeting them back at the castle, and Moony had gone off with Jaimi, he still wasn't sure how he felt about that. Especially since he'd seen Kaine walking out of Zonkos and heading back to the castle.
As Sirius browsed the shelves trying to look inconspicuous as he made his way over to the fireworks section he heard snatches of conversation drifting his way, most of which he ignored. He nodded to students he recognised, making a couple of girls blush, until someone much shorter than him collided with his chest.
"Careful, Zonko makes you pay for anything you break." he said as he grabbed a flailing arm to stop them falling into the shelving unit.

Coming from a family with 5 older brothers, one would think that you’d be smothered and carefully inspected as the only girl. Luckily for Adriana it worked in her benefit. Her brothers weren’t necessarily the rule-abiding sort, and often found themselves paying Adriana in exchange for her silence regarding their guilt. What a double edge sword for them, as they taught her how to cause the best sorts of mischief without even realizing it.
At this point Adriana had been at Hogwarts for several weeks now, and while she enjoyed finally being there, she felt a little too independent from her family. There were only 3 brothers remaining at Hogwarts and the youngest was a 5th year. There was no way any of them would be bothered with the likes of her when they had their much established lives back.
Sighing as she made her way past the great hall, the lingering echo of laughter gave her a brilliant idea, however she needed to be very careful, she wasn’t exactly allowed to leave the castle grounds. Making her way through the corridors and past the secret passageway she accidentally found after an incident with a rather nasty dung bomb, she found herself at the entrance to mischief heaven, Zonkos.
It was a wonderland of prank goods and supplies a sure way to keep her occupied. Distracted by a flying Pygmy Puff she bumped into a rather firmer, distinctly taller chest.
"Careful, Zonko makes you pay for anything you break." he said as he grabbed a flailing arm to stop them falling into the shelving unit.
“Bullocks” She mumbled. So much for being undetected. “ Glancing up from under her eyelashes, hoping for some sort of distraction she spoke rather sheepishly. “I didn’t mean to, its sort of hard not to get distracted in here.” Stepping back from his grasp, she got a good look at her savior. His dark locks and distinguished face was vaguely familiar but she couldn’t place where she had seen him before. Either way if he recognized her she could be in loads of trouble for sneaking out. It would be best not to draw too much attention to herself.

It may have only been the first year he was officially allowed into Hogesmeade, but that didn't mean he hadn't been before. This mean he knew how to spot someone who shouldn't be here by their body language.
The sprite of a girl that stood in front of him, glanced up at him through thick eyelashes as she spoke.
"Yeah it is." he said with a smile. He knew where he'd seen her, she was the first kid to be sorted into Gryffindor this year, just before his brother had been sorted into Slytherin. Clearly, this was a girl after his own heart. In their start of term prank she'd nearly been taken out by half a platter of chocolate eclairs from the staff table as it flew into the air. He tried to think of her name, B... B... Bell! She was Micheal (is that right) Bell's little sister.
"So, enjoying Hogesmeade are we?"

(Yes Michael Bell was the brother, and he would be a fifth year if I am a firstie)
Biting her lip, she wondered what the odds of getting caught might be. She rather enjoyed her find at Zonkos. Hopefully her captor might be more forgiving than a prefect or worse a professor. Looking up at him, she nodded sheepishly “Yeah, its nice to be out of the castle for once.” Realizing her mistake, she quickly amended “Again I mean, you know I’ve been here before”. At that moment she wished the ground could swallow her whole. He would totally ruin her plans and her charade would be over.
Glancing to her right she noticed a box of some peculiar looking fuzzy objects. She reached into the basket to focus on anything but the handsome boy when she was bit by the fuzzy object. “Bloody Hell, blasted thing bit me” she grumbled rather indignantly.

Sirius raised an eyebrow as she slipped up, again he thought as he saw realisation cross her face and she corrected herself. She looked at the ground and he fought the urge to laugh, especially as she then looked across at the display and promptly stuck her hand in the box of furry things.
He knew for a fact that they liked to bite.
"Yeah, they do that." he said casually, "How's your brother?" hoping to make her slip up even more, he continued as though he was ignorant of her actual age, and besides, doing anything else would make him a hypocrite.

Giving him a very weak stink eye, she grumbled, “You couldn’t have told be that before I stuck my hand there and nearly had it chewed off?” she stated rather dramatically.
Blanching at the thought of her brother, she vaguely wondered which one. Taking another good look at the boy she deducted her couldn’t have been older than a 3 or 4 year so he would definitely know Michael. Sighing in defeat, she realized she was caught and it would be better than to continue making a fool of herself. “He is well, your not going to tell him are you?” Even though Michael was the youngest, and the most lax of the siblings, it didn’t mean he wasn’t tough on Adriana, being more protective and stern on her than anyone else.

"Who am I to stop you blowing your own cover, besides, if you'd read the label before sticking your hand in the box you wouldn't have that problem." He replied casually. He draped an arm over her shoulder and carried on towards the fireworks section.
"You have a lot to learn little one." He said as they walked through the aisles. "Although the mere fact that you got here is a credit to you." He paused in front of a display for a new rang of dung bombs and regarded it for a moment. remote detonation... nice...
"In case you hadn't guessed by my attitude, I wasn't planning on telling your brother, but I can imagine how he might react if he found out that I let you continue to wander around Hogesmeade on your own." he continued in a matter-of-fact tone, glancing down to see her expression as she took in the information he was giving her.

Scrunching her nose at his suggestion, “Where’s the fun in that?” she mumbled referring to he biting fuzz debacle. “And for your information, I didn’t blow my cover, it merely faulted slightly.” She tried to sound convincing but even her smile was threatening to break through, it was an amusing situation after all.
Poking his side as he lead her to the fireworks, “Who are you calling little one?” She crossed her arms petulantly. “I am vertically challenged, it’s a condition.” Her indigence was drowned out by her smile as he praised her ability to have been able to sneak out. “What, you weren’t able to sneak out early?” She asked teasingly.
“I couldn’t really tell if you would tell, but in any case, Thank you.” She wasn’t scared of her brother, but she appreciated that someone was treating her as an individual. “I dunno how he would have reacted but Im not entirely sure how that could have gone. He could care or careless, it’s a toss up.”

He laughed softly at her reply. "Well, a real mischief maker knows when to jump in with both feet and when to exercise a little caution." he laughed more "You just keep thinking that Campanella. You're allowed to be small, you're eleven." he whispered the last two words with a smile.
He poked her in the ribs in reply to his received poke. "Of course I did, but I'd been sneaking out of my house since I could walk, and I got good at lying to strangers about my business. You looked too under confident, it gave you away." he explained. "Which passageway did you use?"
"You're welcome, but you owe me Campanella." he said as he regarded the shelves of fireworks in front of them.

Snorting at his remark, she couldn’t help but roll her eyes at his modesty, or lack there of. “Oh yes, a real mischief maker you are. I bow down to thee of mischievous one” she couldn’t help but sarcastically reply. Adriana couldn’t help but appreciate the nick name he gave her and the somewhat comforting words, almost like a brother or at least one who really cares. “Campanella? Really” she asked.
Jumping and shifting awkwardly she fixed him with a glare, he unknowingly found her weak spot. She was extremely ticklish and he found the weakest point. “Oi!” she poked him right back. “Im not sure I appreciate your skill at sneaking out, or Im concerned you’ve been at it for so long.” She peered curiously at him. “I guess I’ll stick with impressed.”
“I accidentally found the mirror on the 4th floor, I was avoiding filch and his batty ole cat.” She remembered “Bloody cats’ a menace I tell you.”
“How exactly do I owe you” She replied with a curious eye. It might work in her favor this new alliance.
(OOC: BTW that passage is the one that Sirius used to use before it collapsed in 93, but since its 73 we are ok to use it!)

"Well 'little bell' seemed appropriate." he said with a shrug. Continuing to regard the fireworks in front of him.
"Don't glare at me like that, you started it." he smiled as she debated with herself over what to think of his sneaking skills. "Yeah my sneaking skills were what almost got you taken out by eclairs at the opening feast." he replied causally. Really it had been done with the aid of James' cloak but she wasn't to know that.
"Oh you're preaching to the choir where that cat's concerned, luckily I can do a pretty good impression of a dog barking, which scares her off quite nicely."
He chuckled, "We shall see little one, we shall see." he selected a box of fireworks off the shelf and began to make his way over to the counter, the girl still tucked under his arm as he guided her across the shop.

Adriana grinned at the nickname and his total nonchalant attitude. After all he was an older boy, he had certain appearances to maintain, and being a softie wasn’t one of them. “Sure if you say so” she agreed with a shrug of her own, and a little mental dance.
“Did not” she retorted, followed by poking her tongue out at him. Remember the attack of the delicious éclairs she mumbled out loud “Oh but what a way to go.” Adriana had a wicked sweet tooth and a few éclairs would have been divine. “You ruined dessert, you owe me some now that I know your secret.”
“I could certainly understand how you would be good at dog impressions” she teased. He had this roughish attitude and confidence often that of a guard dog, either way, she’d hate to be on the wrong side of the bark and bite. “Well lucky for me, the bloody cat help me find my way, so to speak.” She referred to the passage way.
Adriana remained tucked under his arm as he guided her through the store away from the fireworks, she couldn’t help but notice there was a distinct lack of ruckus. “Its awfully quiet in here today, where is the rest of your band of misfits. Its been weeks of school and I rarely see you all away from each other. You didn’t have a row did you?” she questioned concerned for her new friend.

"Well I had to call you something and I don't remember what your first name is, only reason I knew you were a Bell is because you got sorted just before my brother." he said with a smile as he paused to look at the display of quick quotes quills.
He decided to let the tongue thing pass rather than grabbing hold of the end of it and leading her round the shop like that to teach her a lesson. "Owe you some dessert do I?" he thought for a moment, "I can deal with that." he said with a smile, she would like to see the kitchens he was sure.
"It took practice, I'm not naturally gifted." he said in his own defense.
"Ahh, no we haven't had an argument as such, just a parting of purposes for the moment. Remus is escorting a girl back to the castle after a chaperoned lunch date in the three broomsticks. James is, as normal, stalking Evans. And Peter managed to get himself a detention." he explained casually as he selected a bright red quick quotes quill and carried on towards the counter.

“I suppose that is a good reason, and what shall I call you monsieur mischief maker?” she asked teasingly. Even though she was vaguely aware of whom the older boy was, she didn’t want to insult him by calling him someone else’s name, much less someone he didn’t like.
She shrugged as he questioned her statement. “Yes you do.” She said matter-of-factly. Growing up with several older brothers, she leaned to b assertive early on or they would walk all over her. Not to mention she was already feisty by nature. “And if its chocolate, all is most certainly forgiven.” She was absolutely mad about chocolate.
“I wouldn’t say you aren’t naturally gifted.” While she hadn’t known too much about the boy, there was no doubt that his proud demeanor and arrogance has some truth about his skill. It was nice to see him be somewhat humble about himself.
“And you haven’t got yourself a girl to woo, or fancy?” she asked curiously. The boy was certainly handsome and charming, she could envision several girls fawning over him.

"I'm insulted that you can't even guess, you've been here how long, and we're never exactly quiet when we're in the common room." he teased, he could hardly talk considering he didn't know her name, but he enjoyed teasing her, like he used to with Regulus but didn't seem to be able to get away with any more.
"I don't suppose you'd enjoy a trip to madam Puddifoots? Or would you prefer a trip to the kitchens once we get you safely back to the castle?" he asked before getting distracted once agian. "Oooh itching powder." he browsed for a moment before selecting a box.
"Are you calling me a dog Campanella?" coming over suddenly serious. "Not a smart thing to do I can assure you. Others have become prank bait over less." he warned.
"Well, right now you are believe it or not, doing me a favour, you see the girls over there?" He jerked his head to their 5 O'Clock, always the king of subtlelty. "Hufflepuff third years, they've been growing more and more jealous of you the longer my arm is draped over your shoulder, and you, only a first year. Shall we imitate them and discuss what you might possibly have that they don't?" he said the last part in hushed tones, in truth he enjoyed the attention that working out to be a beater was bringing him and didn't want to spoil the fun no matter how much he might be tempted to object.
