Jaimi sighed as she headed down the third floor corridor searching for an empty classroom. It was lunchtime and due to the rain, the library was a lot busier than normal, as such she felt a little claustrophobic, had checked out the books she needed and gone to the Ravenclaw commonroom, which seemed even more crowded, she got the book she needed from there and left again to search for an empty classroom, hoping to find, if not solitude, at least a little more quiet than she seemed to be finding anywhere else.
She heard running footsteps behind her and some first years ran past the end of the corridor. At least they hadn't come this way and knocked her over like had happened before.
She pushed open a door and glanced inside, empty, she moved inside and put her books down on the desk, pulled out parchment, ink, quills and her walkman before sitting down, flipping open a book turning on her music and starting to make notes.

Adriana sighed in frustration as she stared at her lunch. It was only half way through and it had already proven to be a particularly trying day. She had remained advance in all her spell work in charms but due to some lack of attention on behalf of a rather occupied hufflepuff, the classroom had gone up in flames. An irate Flitwick assigned the whole class 2 extra feet of parchment on Aguamenti and its effectiveness in putting out fires.
Potions wasn’t till much later in the day, however Merlin and Morgana have teamed up against her today; that class was a double block with Slytherins. Taking her leave from the great hall, she made her way through the halls looking for some silence to begin the aderous task it was going to be to go over and over Aguamenti for the required amount of parchment.
Ducking into a classroom, she noticed there already was an occupant. A girl, ravenclaw by the appearance, but not someone she was familiar with. “Um, Pardon me.” She tried to get the girls attention. Adriana didn’t mind sharing the classroom but she wasn’t there first, so it wasn’t her decision to make. Sensing no response from the girl, she tried to make her way closer she tripped on leg of a chair. Bracing herself on a desk, and a whole lot of ruckus later, she was able to straighten herself out. “Bloody hell” she mumbled to herself.

Jaimi hummed to herself as she wrote, not hearing the door of the classroom open behind her, or the opener speak. what she did hear was the person tripping over and shouting, at which point she turned around and pulled the headphones off her head.
"Sorry, I didn't hear you come in. Are you O.k?" she asked the girl, a Gryffindor, who was clinging onto the edge of a desk like her life depended on it. She was small and petite, with brown hair. She looked quite young, a second, if not a first year. Clearly she had just tripped over something and used the desk to right itself, thank Merlin for Veela blood being able to prevent clumsiness.
"Can I help you with something?" she asked kindly.

Atticus pulled the ornate silver pocket watch from his robes watching as the snakes moved on the top to allow him to open it , looking at the time he saw he still had a while before the end of lunch .
He picked up his satchel and slung it over his shoulder making his way to his next lesson he didn't know what he would do there he supposed he would practice some more dark arts his plan to release a inferius in to the school had dropped through his Ally's had lost there bottle some had said that they were to scared of Atticus that this had gone to far
Atticus approached the door to his class and a small gryfindor first year stood in his way "move " Atticus commanded his voice oozed with venom And power god he needed a fight he thought thinking back fondly to the start of the year when he had run a mock in diagon alley
Moving past the first year he made his way into the classroom that's when he saw Jaimi his stomach going into a knot he looked at her and holding back emotion said "hello Jaimi"

The girl didn't reply, and Jaimi decided to leave her to get on with whatever she wanted to do. She turned back to her table, found her place in her book and picked up her quill and reached for her headphones.
As she did so a voice oozing with malice said 'move' behind her. That wasn't the first year, she knew that voice. She hadn't heard that voice in nearly a month, she thought he'd left to seek out whatever ends had seemed to be driving him mad. She prayed he wouldn't see her, but knew that the mere presence of her was normally enough to make most people look at her.
"Hello Jaimi."
She took a deep breath and turned slowly.
"Atticus, hi." she said with a friendly smile, thanking whatever gods existed or didn't that her Veela blood allowed her to keep her facial expressions and tone in check. "How have you been?"

She was pleased to see him back to looking more like he had when they first met. She wasn't entirely sure what that meant and if it was a good thing or not, but he looked happy at least.
"I'm glad." She said with a smile.
"Yes actually, Remus Lupin," She wasn't sure she liked the way he spoke about the marauders, what was wrong with being childish at the age of 13. "Better childish enjoyment than a bitter obsession with destruction." She replied in a sweet tone, still smiling.

"Agh but mischievous behaviour just slow down progress where as destruction can pave the way for a glorious future" Atticus tones expressed disappointment "I thought you had a wider understanding of the world than that we are wizards and we can be so much more than mischief makers "
Atticus face changed as he looked at her his slate grey eyes softening like someone had removed a mask from his face "I'm glad you found happiness a pathe we are not all destined to walk"

"They are third years, what does it matter if they don't spend the whole time focussing on their future, they are making the most of their lives by doing something they enjoy. You make it sound like a crime." How dare he look at her like he was disappointed, she didn't take that rubbish from her father let alone anyone else.
She saw his eyes soften as he spoke of a path she had left to walk with Remus. Where moments before she was borderline angry she too softened as she looked at him.
"Clearly, happiness requires a certain amount of childish enjoyment and lack of destruction." She turned away and started packing up her books.

Atticus eyes harden again "happiness is but a fleeting moment the work I do will leave my mark on the world and my name will go down in the history books whose going to remember a bunch of prankster school children there all going to end up no where most will either end up being killed or in Azkaban"
The minute he said it he regretted it but why should he care she had chose some one else he had spilled his darkest secrets to this girl and she had rejected him
As if changing the subject he looked at Jaimi "I suppose you heard through the grapevine about my fathers unfortunate broomstick accident ever so dangerous those thing I'm surprised they haven't had more death here at hogwarts" his voice was laced with a sinister undertone he knew she would understand

"Who's to say they won't do something great with their lives? For all your talk you could end up being the one that no one remembers. Life's not about being remembered, its about doing what you think is right." She struggled to control her anger as her hair shifted around her shoulders, moved by a non existent breeze. She could see it in his eyes, the sting of rejection, she thought he had understood.
"I thought I made it clear in our last conversation Atticus. You didn't speak to me for three weeks so I moved on. What did you expect me to do? Wait for you? I'm not the sad and pathetic girl your making me out to be!" She could see red most forming in front of her eyes as her hair almost took on a life of its own. "I tried to help you, or at least understand what you were going through but I couldn't! You wouldn't listen to me, this is your fault not mine. I'm so sorry I'm not good enough for you, feel free to join my father in the ranks of pure bloods who think less of me!" Her features had taken on a sharpness that wasn't there earlier and she felt like her blood was boiling in her veins.
She raised a slender eyebrow as he talked about his father.
"Do you expect me to congratulate you? You're no better than he is. You're no better than any of them!" She hadn't even noticed herself pulling her wand out of her pocket, and merlin only knows what the first year thought about what was happening. She waved her wand at her books and they put themselves in her bag, which she then picked up.
"Next time you threaten me, don't bother trying to disguise it, my mother was too good a teacher for me to let that slide." She pushed past him and went to leave. The cruelness of the features that had twisted themselves into her face softened. "I really did care about you, rest assured I won't make the same mistake again."

Atticus observed the veela quality in her but it didnt scare him he was beyond fear of her now , he was beyond fear of death he placed his hand gently on her shoulder as she turned to walk away in a non threatening way
"You misunderstand I know I can't have you and If you don't remember me in years to come for the good and what I could be might as well have the world remember me for what I am" he looked down to the floor Half expecting to see his heart on his sleeve
" I wasn't threatening you , you seem to be my weakness I wish you weren't and I don't understand how you mean so much to me while I know so little and last thing I think you are is sad and pathetic trust me" he released her shoulder and places his hand down into his pocket to and clenched his wand not to hurt her but in preparation for the curse that he knew he deserved
"Atleast I now know from this point forward any bad I do is all me only time will tell , the storm is still coming and all I hope is it give me a purpose"

She felt the hand on her shoulder and fought the urge to let her elongated nails slash his arm open.
"I'd never been kissed like that before, that's going to be hard to forget." She scoffed, "You've got a funny way of showing it, the way you talk you'd think we'd had an arranged marriage and I cheated on you with Remus. You pushed me away, and don't you forget it." She raised an eyebrow as he put his hand in his pocket to grasp his own wand.
"I'm not going to curse you, and any bad you do was always going to be on your own head. And you think my friends are going to end up in Azkaban."

Atticus scoffed and looked at her "i wouldn't blame you if you did and i dont think they will deliberately "
"What I mean is I'm now well and truely out of his shadow and control I know the way I went about it was wrong but now I'm on my own path and what happens is my doing not what my father wanted" He placed his hand delicately back on her shoulder and spun her to face him
"It was a hell if a kiss the sort of kiss that inspires men to go to war and for all your magic and abilities I'd say that was your most dangerous one" he looked into her eyes her beautiful eyes "I'm sorry but I know I can't be who you want me to be yet"

She pocketed her wand, despite wishing she could curse him, but she'd never get away with it. "I don't agree with your methods, but if you feel like you're free then so be it. I wish I could say I felt the same where my father is concerned."
She didn't let him turn her without a fight, she didn't want to look at him, she'd either hit him or listen to him and she wasn't sure she could cope with either. Luckily she didn't hit him.
"Well I can't say being a Veela doesn't contribute to my kissing skills." she admitted. "The sad thing is, to start with, you nearly were." Her anger had faded into sadness, it would come back later, probably aimed at Remus, even though he would do nothing to deserve it.
