((OCC You're probably right about that, heh heh, modified.))
"I've seen that he can be kind, with the right motivation," Simanus knew that Severus' could be a horrible person at times too and assumed Remus was speaking from experience. "I suppose for the nonce we'll have to agree to disagree," she said, releasing his hand, "I'll have to hold out hope that I'm right; but even if I am, I agree the odds of a turn-around are low." His last comment didn't quite make sense, but she liked a little mystery in a new friendship, kept the nuance alive, "Thank you, though I'm not sure what you mean by 'Marauder.' I supposed I'll find out in time. Happy studying!"
Simanus was confident Remus hadn't seen her writing the note in her left hand, which she now dropped inconspicuously on the ground near enough that he was sure to spot it eventually. She turned and headed back for the castle to prepare for her meeting with Kaine later that night. The puzzle was a nice touch, she thought to herself, wisdom is always more satisfying when earned in stages. As her mind shifted to the task ahead, the note with the unusual riddle written on it (What gets rid of floaty eaters? "Extra Moon Pet Cup" -Happy Hunting, S) slid from her thoughts as the castle's shadow slid over her and blocked out the warm sun.

After Simanus had gone, Remus continued studying for a while, then took a break. He closed his book and Simanus's words about Snape went through his mind. He looked over to where she'd walked and noticed something on the ground. He got up and walked over to pick it up, thinking it was something that she might need, he opened it and read the message.

He scratched his head and frowned, muttering the words to himself. Remus hated riddles. He refolded the note and put it in his pocket for later. He then picked up his book and set off back to school.
