Remus looked as a handful of chocolate frogs settled next to him on the seat and he swallowed his mouthful of pumpkin pasty. Wiping his hand he held it out, taking hold of Sirius's and he said. "Deal!" As he shook, Sirius's hand firmly. "Thanks for the chocolate frogs Sirius."
He did feel a little embarrassed at the fact that he couldn't go mad with his money like Sirius and James. He was by no means poor, but his family were not as privileged as the Blacks, or the Potters. He continued to eat in silence, as he looked out of the window. A light mist of rain had begun to fall.

James enters the carriage and flops down on the empty seat next to Sirius. "You know, I will get her to see that I'm the only one for her." He announced, and looking at the file of food on the seat he grabbed a pumpkin pasty. "So my loyal pals! How was the holidays?" He grinned as he chewed his pasty.

Sirius laughed at James as he made his announcement, they had been correct in their assumption about his whereabouts.
"Speak of the devil and he shall appear. We were just saying how good you were at sniffing out pumpkin pasties. Yes I bought food for you, and you owe me 2 galleons 3 sickles and 7 knuts." he said deftly splitting the piles in half, wth the exception of the Droobles, all of which he had bought for himself.
"I got grounded, as you know, and Mum destroyed my beaters bat at dinner, right over the stuffed pheasant. ((OOC - was it pheasant or partridge? lol)) So now I have to buy a new one. Oh and she spent the whole summer saying how Regulus will uphold the family name and be in Slytherin, so I spent most of my time plastering muggle motorbikes all over my walls with a permanent sticking charm. Next summer I'm coming straight to yours."

Remus chuckles and slowly shook his head at James' announcement. He winked at Sirius, as both of them had been right about his whereabouts, and what would bring him to them. "Well as Sirius said, he's trying out for the team again this year and as his mum completely destroyed his bat over the stuffed partridge ((OOC not pheasant. hehe)) we were trying to come up with a plan of getting him a new one."
Remus picked up a chocolate frog and opened it. He inspected the card and held it up for Sirius to see. "Have you got this one, I can't remember?" It was a picture of Agrippa, and according to the card, he was a German mystic and an Alchemist. ^I didn't do much over the summer...read mostly"

James looks between his two friends as they fill him in and frowns at Sirius. "HOW MUCH?" He dug into his pocket and tossed some coins at Sirius. "I'll give you the rest later, if it's short." He laughed at the story of Sirius's bat and the motor bike reference jolted his memory. "Oh I have some motorcycle magazines in my trunk for you. There's a really good picture of one called a Harley Davidson." He frowned at this and muttered. "Why call a bike by a real name?"
He looked at Remus and rolled his eyes. "Well I hope you were reading up on how we can perform some pranks, that will top last years." He looked at Sirius and muttered. "Have you told him?" He nodded his head toward Remus and looked secretive. "You know...the plan."

"Hey, there's a lot of food there." he said, catching the coins and checking them, it was about the right amount, and being practically brothers, the money tossed between them didn't matter too much.
"Cheers, Mum cancelled all my subscriptions, so I didn't have any new ones. Harley's are awesome, seriously, they are the best Motorbike ever!" he was almost bouncing around in excitement. "They called it that because they knew it would be awesome and wanted to distinguish it from other bikes."
"No I haven't, cheers Remus." he said, taking it. He had only started collecting the cards once he had got to Hogwarts, as his mother hated chocolate frogs. "No he hasn't been researching pranks, he's clearly not as dedicated as we are. If it wasn't for that, the plan, and re-papering my room I would have had nothing to do in my room all summer. Of course I've told him, I thought of our dear friend while you were off thinking of yourself and chasing Evans." He laughed and stuffed the chocolate frog card in his pocket before grabbing another pumpkin pastie.

Remus looked unrepentant at not thinking up any pranks for this term and he popped the chocolate frog into his mouth, chewing it with a look of satisfaction on his face. "You will thank me for being so studious my dear friends, when you need help with your assignments this term." He nodded about the plan and looked excited at the prospect of all the extra research. "Yes, we were trying to contrive a plan to possibly get access to the restricted section, while you were trying to sweep Evans off her feet again." He grinned. "Speaking of which, have you wore her down into submission yet?"
He handed Sirius the card and popped the wrapper in his pocket. He then started to apply his mind into thinking about a prank. "You know we should get something sorted for when we get to school guys. Get the year started with a bang, so to speak." He knitted his eyebrows together and pondered a moment. "What about setting off some fireworks under the top table?"

James grinned at Sirius's enthusiasm for the motor bikes and got up to have a rummage in his trunk. He soon came back with a handful of magazines, which he handed to Sirius. "You know mum and dad will have you stay at our place in a flash Sirius. They love you, more then they do me, and that's saying something." He sat back down and started munching on another pasty. He nodded at Remus's comment about them needing his help when their assignments were due. "He has a point you know mate."
James shrugged his shoulders and nodded at Remus's question about Lily. "Yep, she's falling for me. I actually got a smile out of her today." He frowned. "I was doing OK, until Snivellus showed his ugly face. She blew me out for him!" James sulked and grinned at the idea of fireworks. "How about we just see how high Snivellus will go with a rocket up his backside."

Sirius quickly transferred the motorbike magazines into his own trunk with a satisfied smile. He laughed at James' comment about his parents. "That's because they feel sorry for me, living with parents who hate me, so they try and make up for it." He shrugged his shoulders with a nonchalant air. "Yeah I know, but usually it's just to make sure we haven't made any stupid mistakes, it's Peter who practically needs it written for him."
Sirius frowned, she always seemed to be more willing to talk to Severus than she was anyone else, and quite frankly this confused him a little. "That is a bit weird you know, you've been speaking to her all summer, what is going on between Evans and Snivellus?" He thought over James' suggestion. "I'd say yes, but I think we might get expelled for breaking the ceiling of the great hall, not to mention if we end up killing him in the process. Seeing the Staff table hit the ceiling however does sound like fun. I guess it's lucky I brought these." he said reaching into his trunk and pulling out an array of Dr Filibuster's, no heat, wet start, Fireworks.

Remus shrugged his shoulders at the suggestion that Peter need help more then they did. "Yeah you do have a point there Sirius. Merlin knows how he'll get through his OWLs." He opened another chocolate frog and handed the card to Sirius, after quickly stuffing the chocolate into his mouth. He shot Sirius a look, as he mentioned that he'd been talking to Lily all summer. "It wasn't all summer, just a couple of letters." he said out the side of his mouth.
He looked innocently at James and smiled. "She just said that Snivellus was having a hard time at home, and needed a friend."

James grinned. "Hey don't knock my sycophantic friend. He adores me." He watched as Sirius transfered the magazines into his trunk and reluctantly agreed about the rocket idea. "OK, but as long as we can get him at some point...the weasel." James flashed a look at Remus. "You've been talking to my future wife!!?" He smirked at the fact that Snivellus had been having a hard time. "Aw such a shame."
He slapped Sirius on the back, as he pulled out the fireworks. "Excellent! Good prank Remus, and trust you Sirius to have the devices for our mischief."

"Oh, we'll get him alright, we had been discussing turning his hair pink to match Dumbledore's blue beard." he said with a laugh. He did a mock bow as James slapped him on the back, and presented the fireworks grandly at his feet.
"Pleased to be of service, as always, but how are we going to get them under the table? everyone will be in the hall, we're not going to get a moment in there alone. Especially not when McGonagall will be expecting something." he said scratching his head absent mindedly with the tip of one of the rockets.

Remus grins enthusiastically at the prospect of getting a prank in before school actually started."You know what we could do with. A map, that shows us where everyone is, so we can pull off a prank, without getting noticed." He laughed at the silliness of the notion. "We need a distraction... Maybe Peter?" Looks thoughtful. "No one ever suspects him."
He scratched his head about the hair dying prank. "Hmmm... maybe a potion?"

James lifts his head up and nods regally at Sirius, as he places the fireworks at his feet. "That will be all." he said loftily and giggled, as he picked up the fireworks. His head snapped up at the mention of a map. "Remus you genius!" He looked between his two friends. "That's exactly what we need."
He sat down and shrugged about Peter being a distraction. "Actually Remus, I think you'd make a better distraction the Peter. Do you agree Sirius?"

"That is the most genius thing I think I've ever heard! Apart from our idea about helping you of course." he said with a mischievous grin. Sirius thought for a moment, last time they used Peter as a distraction the prank had almost failed, but that was because James had gotten distracted by Lily. Also they usually used Peter, using Remus would wrong foot so many people who almost expected the distraction to come from Peter.
"I think you'd be the better option, we so rarely use you it would wrong foot people and they may not quite so quick to blame us."
