Cbox Rules

Cbox Names
Members should be using their forum names in the Cbox. This will avoid confusion among the members.

Members are not permitted to use the name/handle of a staff member at ANY time. (We consider this the same as impersonating a staff member, which is a BANNABLE OFFENSE.)

Members who try to slander/bully or openly try to entice other members into slandering another member/Admin/Mod. WILL BE BANNED.

No Swearing
You are not to swear when using the Cbox. This is something you wouldn’t do at home, in front of your parents. So don’t do it in the Cbox. Anyone caught swearing in the Cbox, will automatically receive a negative Karma, as a first offence. If you continue to swear in the Cbox, then you will receive a ban from the Cbox. (The length of time, will depend on the severity of the situation.

Harassment
Using the cbox or chat for any type of harassment of the chatters there or other forum members (whether they are online or not), is instant loss of cbox rights. You can lose your forum rights and be banned as well! Don't do it! PLAY NICE.

Unmentionable content
While you can practically talk about ANYTHING in the cbox, there are a few things that we ask *NOT* to be discussed.

1. Slander, taunts, or threats against other forums within MD
If I read about it anywhere on the forum, cbox, you are banned. COMPLETELY. I do not put up with that here. I do not approve of infighting between forum boards (especially those who I consider affiliates).

2. Talking about causing harm to others or yourself
We all get emotional, and life CAN be difficult. However, from experience, the MD staff asks that topics such as 'I wish my teacher/parents/bully would die, I want to kill so and so, I cut myself, shooting someone etc 'I want to die/kill myself', are not permitted anywhere in the forums.

Even for simple discussion, if you had a bizarre dream, or just because you're really ticked because your cat just shredded your homework, if your venting turns into threats of violence, even if 'I didn't really mean it'. You will be temporarily banned for about a week from cbox.

The reason for this, is we've had members bring up this kind of behaviour, and it only causes other members to a; be completely frantic with worry. B; Encourage the behaviour c; Cause copycat occurrences.

3. Cybering
No cybering is permitted in the public chats or cbox, this includes within the scope of role-playing.

3. Other websites.
Even if you're not posting a link, it can still be considered advertising to talk about another site, even one that no longer exists, in the cbox. Save it for PM's or the Advertising board.

Posting inappropriate links
Anything over R rating, pornographic, etc should not be posted in the cbox or anywhere in this forum. This includes exceptionally graphic links that the admins/mods might deem inappropriate.

First offence, warning/negative karma second offence, banned from cbox for a period of time to be determined by admins/mods.

Be considerate
If you are in the cbox, be nice, be friendly, if people are having problems, and help them out. If there is a problem in the cbox, please report to a MD staff member
